Model Success Story: Huda

We always have so many people coming into Flair Studios and Project Bloom to try out our shoots for the first time and its awesome when they’ve had such a great experience they come back for another shoot.

This weeks model success story is about Huda. She entered our Cover Girl competition back in 2015 and went on to win our grand prize. She was such a wonderful person and contestant, who had such a passion for fashion and modelling.

Since her shoot with Project Bloom Huda has continued her successful career in modelling, so we thought it would be a great time to ask her some questions on her experience and see what she’s been up to since.

Huda’s Q and A:

What have you been doing since bloom? Since Project Bloom I have been doing multiple photoshoots with different brands like Mevo, Shoe Connection and Desiree Clothing. I have also done fashion shows for African Fashion Festival, Eco Fashion Week and Matariki. I’ve done lots and lots of portfolio shoots with various photographers. 3 years ago I decided to pursue acting and I’m on my third year of acting school. Since then I’ve done 2 music videos and multiple short films with The New Zealand Film School. Was Bloom something that inspired you to do modelling professionally? I was already signed with an agency before my shoot with Project Bloom but my confidence was definitely boosted and helped me push my career further. Would you recommend a shoot for confidence and motivational reasons? Yes I absolutely would. The photographers are amazing and have valuable tips. I still use the tips that I learnt from my shoot 4 years ago. It’s a confidence booster as well, the shoots are very helpful to anyone interested in doing professional modelling or even just for fun.
